Hi! I’m Jean!
I am a storyteller, visual creative, and joy-seeker based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Why The Joy Edit?
Life through the lens of joy
This space was born from a simple but powerful idea: that joy lives in the little things. And that when we slow down, get intentional, and create with care, the everyday can feel more beautiful, more grounded, and more us.
The Joy Edit with Jean is my creative home base — a place where I share what I’m working on, whether I’m behind the camera shooting content or styling a space with heart. Everything I do is rooted in joy, story, and connection.
What started as sharing snippets of home and motherhood on Instagram has evolved into a space for thoughtful content creation, creative brand collaborations, and approachable interior styling. Along the way, I’ve built a warm, engaged community that values authenticity, beauty, and the kind of storytelling that feels real.
So whether you're here to:
Collaborate on user-generated content or visual storytelling
Bring more charm and personality into your space
Or simply find inspiration to make life feel a little slower, sweeter, and more joyful —
You’re absolutely in the right place. Let’s create something beautiful, together.
About Me
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a storyteller, visual creative, and joy-seeker living in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wonderful husband, our spirited toddler daughter, and our happy-go-lucky pup. I’ve spent over 20 years working in public health — a career I care deeply about for its impact and connection to giving back to the community.
When I became a mom everything changed and I found myself craving something that was just mine. That longing led me to Find Your Unicorn Space by Eve Rodsky, a book that completely reframed how I saw creativity. It helped me realize that creative expression isn’t extra — it’s essential. It grounds me. It energizes me. And it’s made me a better parent, partner, and person.
My creative journey began in a much more personal space — on Instagram. What started as a way to share simple moments of home life and new motherhood slowly turned into something more: a daily practice of noticing beauty, capturing joy, and reconnecting with myself through creativity.
Through sharing on Instagram, I discovered something unexpected: a genuine connection with a growing community of thoughtful creators and like-minded brands. That connection — the conversations, the encouragement, the shared moments of beauty — became the heartbeat of The Joy Edit with Jean. I created this space as an extension of that community and as an invitation for others, especially women and mothers, to reclaim creativity as more than just a hobby. It’s a form of self-care. A way to feel more grounded, more present, and more you.
Over time, I’ve had the joy of partnering with more than 50 brands — a journey that’s deepened my storytelling skills, sharpened my creative eye, and reaffirmed my belief that meaningful content comes from a place of authenticity and heart. I know how to bring a brand’s message to life while staying rooted in what matters most: connection, joy, and intention.
These days, I’m always on the lookout for glimmers — those small, often fleeting moments that spark joy, gratitude, or calm. Whether I’m styling a cozy corner of our home, arranging flowers from the garden, or capturing a moment of everyday magic on camera, I try to move through life with heart and intention.
What glimmers are showing up in your life lately? I hope this space inspires you to notice them — and to create more of your own.
